Hotel Reservations

A quota of rooms in different rate categories has been booked at attractive rates in selected hotels. Hotel reservations should be done via the online registration form. Tampere will be crowded in the conference period and in order to secure accommodation of your choice, we kindly advise you to register as early as possible. Hotel reservations are to be made through the congress bureau in order to benefit from the special rates. All hotel reservations, especially after 7 May, 2010, will be subject to availability. N.B. In Finland hotels have mainly non-smoking rooms and public premises or hotels have totally forbidden smoking in their premises.

Hotel Deposit

To guarantee your hotel reservation, a deposit of one night’s room rate is required in advance together with the registration fee. The deposit will be forwarded to the hotel and it will be deducted from your final hotel bill when checking out. If you must cancel your reservation, see the cancellation and refund policy below. All prices are per room per night, including breakfast and VAT. The hotel deposit is non-refundable if the cancellation is made after 21 May, 2010. Sokos Hotel Villa
Address: Sumeliuksenkatu 14
A cosy hotel in a building that originally served as a granary with a laid-back and different ambience. Forming part of the Tullintori mall, the hotel is situated close to the railway station. Approx. 15 minutes’ bus drive from the symposium venue.

Holiday Inn Tampere
Address: Yliopistonkatu 44
A business hotel in the city centre. The best shopping streets, theatres and sights are only a short walk away. Approx. 15 minutes’ bus drive from the symposium venue.

Payment and confirmation

All payments (registration fee and hotel deposit) should be made in advance in euros (EUR) in connection with the registration. When registering online, you will receive instant confirmation of successful registration to your email.

Please use the reference number when making the bank transfer. Your personal reference number will be shown on the automatic reply that you will receive after submitting the registration form online. Payment is to be settled within two weeks of registration, by 21 May, 2010 the latest. Credit card payments will be dealt automatically.

Note!

• all payments should be made free of banking charges
• bank drafts as well as personal, traveller’s or company cheques cannot be accepted
• for sending an invoice, a supplement of 10 € will be added.

Confirmation of participation

TAVI Congress Bureau will confirm the participation upon receiving the registration and payments. No participation confirmation letters will be sent before all payments (including the hotel deposit) have been received.

Cancellation and refund policy

Kindly note that all cancellations and/or changes to registration and accommodation must be made in writing to TAVI Congress Bureau by e-mail: hyvite2010.symposium@tavicon.fi or by fax: +358 3 233 0444.

If a cancellation for the participation and/or hotel reservation is received before 21 May 2010, the registration fee will be refunded with the exception of a handling fee of EUR 50 and/or the hotel deposit will be refunded minus a 10 € handling fee. No refunds can be made for cancellations received after 21 May, 2010.

In a case of no-show, there will be no refund of the registration or the hotel deposit. There is no extra fee if a delegate’s registration is transferred to a colleague from the same organization.
